FAQ
What is the best way to care for hand-felted TrendeFemme jewelry?
As with all jewelry, protect your TrendeFemme hand-felted adornment from chemicals, extreme temperatures, and sunlight. Please keep in mind that hand-felted jewelry should also be protected from moths and should not be allowed to get wet. Strenuous activities like working out, cleaning, or gardening may cause damage to jewelry, so it is a good idea to remove your hand-felted accessory before you begin. Likewise, it is a good idea apply your makeup, hair spray, and perfume before you put on your jewelry. Store your hand-felted accessories away from sunlight and separately from other jewelry that may snag or tear the felt.
What is the best way to care for hand-felted TrendeFemme scarves?
As with hand-felted jewelry, try to store your hand-felted scarf away from sunlight, moths, chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Most felted scarves can be gently washed by hand in cold water, carefully squeezed to get rid of excess water, and laid flat to dry. Scarves textured using Shibori techniques should be kept away from water and moist conditions, as these may affect their texture.

What is the difference between wool and felt?
Felt is made from wool fiber. Wool fibers originate from sheep; after a sheep is shorn, the fibers are collected, cleaned, combed, and often dyed to create wool roving. Hand-made felt is created by arranging layers of wool roving and subjecting them to warm, soapy water and friction to cause the wool fibers to bond together into felt.
Do you offer felting classes?
Unfortunately, TrendeFemme currently does not offer felting classes.
